Does Revolut use Visa or Mastercard?
Revolut does not have one card type for every country.

Revolut does not have one card type for every country. The plastic or the virtual card in your app is debit, credit or a hybrid only if that product’s terms say so, and the network printed on it is Visa or Mastercard only for that issuance. Three old pages asked the same thing in different words. They now land here so they cannot disagree.
Open the card details in the Revolut app. The network logo and the word debit or credit on that screen are the answer for your account. A US account, a UK account and an account in the European Economic Area are different companies and different licenses. Do not import a British help-center sentence into a US account.
Revolut is not, by itself, an explanation of FDIC or FSCS cover. The entity named in your agreement is the one whose license you look up. Linking a US bank account is a separate step, covered in link a US bank account.
