Will Chime refund me if I get scammed?
Chime does not promise to refund a scam.

Chime does not promise to refund a scam. Some unauthorized card or ACH transfers can be disputed under the rules that apply to that payment type. Money you sent on purpose, because someone convinced you, is often not an unauthorized transfer. The outcome depends on the facts and on how fast you report it in the app.
Report it in the Chime app first, then read what the partner bank’s error-resolution process asks you to do. Chime’s help center is the place that names The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A. as the banks that hold deposits. Keep the dates and the amounts. A “recovery agent” who asks for a fee, a gift card or remote access to your phone is a second scam.
The CFPB explains how error resolution works for the accounts it covers, at consumerfinance.gov. Nothing on this page is a guarantee that a transfer will come back.
